This Sunday aftenoon, the acoustic band ACE will perform songs by Neil Young at the Podium Café of De Boerderij in Zoetermeer. The program features two full acoustic sets dedicated to this Canadian singer-songwriter, including well-known classics like Heart of Gold, Old Man, and Rockin’ in the Free World.
The album Harvest, which marked Neil Young’s breakthrough as a solo artist in 1972, will be performed in its entirety. ACE also dives into lesser-known gems, delivering two hours of Neil Young songs in a way that makes the audience feel as if they’re sitting around a campfire with “Uncle Neil.” Along the way, the band shares stories about the brilliant and unconventional artist and the background of his songwriting.
ACE stands for Acoustic Cover Experience and consists of: Marco den Engelsman (vocals, guitar, harmonica), Frank Mostert (percussion, vocals), and Peter Verdult (guitar).
