The Muddy Waters Tribute Band does not want to be a copy of the original Muddy Waters Band, but is a tribute to the 'Father of the Blues' and is particularly inspired by the 70s shows and line-up of the band. With a good cross-section of the repertoire, The Muddy Waters Tribute Band takes the audience into the atmosphere and vibe of one of the most important, influential and best-known blues artists ever.
Award winning singer and guitarist Robbert Fossen is the frontman of this group. To date, he was the only Dutchman to reach the final at the prestigious International Blues Challenge in Memphis, where he represented the Netherlands on the world stage. Robbert now has a considerable track record and has accompanied various American artists on European tours. Much younger but also award-winning musician is harmonica player Thomas Toussaint, who sounds the 'Mississippi saxophone' at Robbert's side.
