Clan Of Xymox

Dutch Clan of Xymox laid the foundation for the darkwave genre in the 1980s. The combination of synthesizers and guitars is reminiscent of British new wave guitar bands such as Bauhaus or The Sisters of Mercy, as well as German industrial bands such as DAF and/or Einstürzende Neubauten.

The band reached several listings in the independent charts in England, Germany and the US. The album Twist of shadows (1989) sold 300,000 copies in the US alone. The band continues to innovate and develop, but retain their unique and recognizable sound. During the pandemic, singer and guitarist Ronny Moorings made good use of the available time by writing lots of new material. This new material is also dark and intimate in nature. The band masterfully explores the distinctive dark wave sound that still makes them internationally successful.

Support: Silent Runners
Silent Runners mixes dark synths with post-punk influences and their energetic live shows are both compelling and hypnotic. Minimalist guitars, deep bass riffs and heavy drum beats, from an almost krautrock-like drive, topped with classic synths and a powerful voice.
