DGM’s new album “The Passage” (2016) is another substantial step forward for DGM. Sounding like a hungry, urbanized version of Symphony X, with substantial hard rock influences, the new record is remarkable in several aspects. The compositions are phenomenal, with sweeping choruses, technical passages, lightning fast fretwork, big vocals and bombastic transitions. It is the culmination of almost 20 years of hard work that started back in 1997. The band went through several incarnations and line-up changes during the years, but since singer Mark Basile joined the group in 2007, DGM evolved and developed their sound into what it currently is. It was probably the release of “Frame” (2007) that pushed the band into the top of the league of international prog metal. DGM managed to tour around the world for almost four years, taking part in some of the biggest metal festivals, supporting Symphony X, shared the stage with Pagan’s Mind and performed at ProgPower USA.

Secret Sphere

Secret Sphere manage to honour the heritage of big names in the metal scene creating their very own brand of Symphonic Power Metal :

catchy refrains, majestic arrangements, a multitude of musical influences (from hard rock to progressive metal) are the main ingredients of their musical recipe. Secret Sphere was founded in summer 1997, by the talented guitar shredder Aldo Lonobile. With six albums under their belt, collaboration with labels like Nuclear Blast, Avalon/Marquee, Scarlet Records, Warner Music Japan; extensive tours and great live shows around the world supporting one of the most well known metal band from Italy. “Portrait Of A Dying Heart” the new album featuring the new singer Michele Luppi (Whitesnake) has been acclaimed all over the world as one of the best melodic metal releases of the year.

Trick or Treat

Trick or Treat is a power metal band formed in 2002 in Italy. The band started in 2002 as a Helloween tribute band. After some years performing in clubs around Italy, they recorded a four-track demo (“Like Donald Duck”) and signed a deal with Valery Records, through which they have released their debut album in 2005, “Evil Needs Candy Too”. A subsequent tour was started, with shows in Europe and USA. In 2008 Trick or Treat recorded their second album, “Tin Soldiers”, featuring former Helloween singer Michael Kiske and former Vision Divine vocalist Michele Luppi. Between 2010 and 2011, the band shared the stage with Helloween and Stratovarius. In early 2012, Luca Turilli announced that Trick or Treat’s singer Alessandro Conti is the new lead singer of the band “Luca Turilli’s RHAPSODY”.
