Jazz, fusion, funk and improvisation come together in Forq’s unique sound. Featuring musicians from the world of Snarky Puppy and artists who have worked with the likes of David Bowie and Marcus Miller, the band combines virtuosity, groove and adventure in a live show that is difficult to put into a single box.
Forq was originally founded by keyboardist Henry Hey and bassist Michael League, the Grammy-winning bandleader of Snarky Puppy. In the current line-up, Hey is joined by guitarist Chris McQueen (Snarky Puppy, Bokanté), drummer Jason ‘JT’ Thomas and bassist Eli Menezes. Together, they create music in which complex harmonies, unexpected twists and infectious grooves come together effortlessly. The band has performed at renowned international venues and festivals, including North Sea Jazz, Montreux Jazz and Jazz à Vienne. Forq is not just about technical skill: the band is known for energetic, playful performances where improvisation and the sheer joy of making music take centre stage. In spring 2027, Forq will come to Boerderij with brand-new music from their sixth studio album.
