Bowl
Atonal, disorienting post-punk of high caliber and Popronde 2023 hit.
This five-piece band, formed at the Herman Brood Academy, brings a fresh atmosphere the post punk genre is only too happy to welcome. The atonal, disorienting guitar riffs, socially engaged lyrics and tight drums & bass deliver an energetic pulse that makes you want to dance and mosh like your life depends on it. After the release of their first album and a successful run during the Popronde, they were featured at Eurosonic Noorderslag this year and the future looks bright. Before they take to the really big festival stages, they can now be seen playing during the HBA On Tour for free!

Niamh
Spooky alt-pop with electronic influences: Edward Scissorhands would dance to this.
Niamh is an Irish/British alt-pop musician with electronic influences who taught herself to make music at a young age. As a producer and singer, she is now in her second year at the Herman Brood Academy, where she has found a live band around her to enhance her performances. Her music is inspired by films such as Edward Scissorhands and A Monster In Paris, with the sound of Billie Eilish, Blur or The Marias. Her first album, Lucille's Theme, can be heard on Spotify. You don't want to miss this pop star in the making!

FIT
The crankiest wave funk with the power of a tsunami: chaos on a surfboard!
The latest HBA sensation that can be described in a nutshell as an energetic mix of shoegaze, post-punk and funk. By giving an unexpected performance in the school’s restrooms, they quickly gained attention. Live, FIT is a fiery band with danceable songs: the audience is guaranteed not to be able to resist surfing along with full conviction to their tsunami. Still so new that it cannot yet be found on Spotify, but already a very popular band that is quickly taking the venues of the Netherlands by storm. This is your chance to catch a band that is still truly underground!
