Compliant with tradition, British progressive rock band IQ returns to the Netherlands in December for their exclusive X-mas Bash – a now beloved annual event on the agenda of pop venue Boerderij. Over the years, the band has built up a close bond with the audience, with a loyal fan base that looks forward to this special concert every year.
IQ was founded in 1981 by guitarist Mike Holmes. In the early years, the influence of Genesis was clearly evident, especially in the theatrical live presentations and visual style. IQ is now known for their own, recognizable sound: melodic, powerful progressive rock with a lot of emotion and depth. The X-mas Bash at the Boerderij has grown into a unique tradition, where fans from home and abroad come together for an evening full of musical highlights, surprising set lists and a special ambiance.
