Jazz Sabbath feat. Adam Wakeman

Jazz vs Black Sabbath

Jazz Sabbath feat. Adam Wakeman

Jazz Sabbath turned the metal and jazz world upside down in early 2020 with the release of their long-lost 1969 album and documentary, which revealed that Black Sabbath stole all of their songs from this jazz trio. Pianist Milton Keanes finally wanted justice after 50 years! Upon closer inspection, Milton Keanes turned out to be Adam Wakeman (Black Sabbath and Ozzy Osbourne's solo band)!

Together with guest musicians, Wakeman explores the boundaries between jazz and metal with Jazz Sabbath. On the two Jazz Sabbath albums that have already been released, Wakeman plays instrumental interpretations of Black Sabbath classics. The artists that already contributed (all under a 1960s pseudonym) were Ash Soan (Adele), Simon McBride (Deep Purple), Fraser T. Smith (Sam Smith) and Gus G (Firewind, Ozzy Osbourne).
With top 10 listings in the Billboard Jazz Chart and fans from both genres (rock and jazz), Jazz Sabbath is an experience in itself. Even the guys from Black Sabbath themselves are fans: 'I'm really loving this' - Ozzy Osbourne and Tony Iommi finds it 'amazing interpretations'.
