Keyboardist/bandleader Ton Scherpenzeel explains his decision: "Every journey, no matter how beautiful, comes to an end. The rest of the band would have liked to continue, and I still really enjoy playing. But it takes a lot (and even more) for bands like us to bring such a tour to a good end and I personally feel we are stretched to the limit. No matter how unfortunate, I'd rather stop too early than go on for too long." Kayak doesn't rule out that the band will get together on stage again for special projects or occasions, but touring will be definitely over after May 21. So make sure you are present to say goodbye to this iconic band!
