Kingcrow + Votum

Tonight a co headline show of Kingcrow and Votum! Attention to fans of Riverside, Anathema, Pain of Salvation and Porcupine Tree.
  • Kingcrow

King Crow was originally founded in Rome, Italy, by Diego Cafolla (guitars) and Manuel Thundra Cafolla (drums) in 1996 under the name of "Earth Shaker". Inspired by Edgar Allan Poe's poem "Raven" and driven by a will of change, the band's name was soon altered into Kingcrow. Describing the band today is quite a difficult task, but one could state that the influence of such artists as Porcupine Tree, Riverside, Opeth, Orphaned Land or even Dream Theater in their more subtle moments are all present in the music of Kingcrow. With each release Kingcrow has taken a step further away from their original roots as a classic hard rock - metal band and is today one of the most exciting bands that Italy has to offer.

  • Votum

The Polish progressive act Votum combines dark and vibrant atmosphere with metal traditions, bringing both force and ambience to play. The band is no stranger to musical diversity with subtle cinematic frailty and modern electronica. Dealing in powerful guitars and acoustic ballads Votum creates a very specific blend of fresh and unusual approach to progressive rock and metal. Their three releases, "Time must have a stop" (2008), "Metafiction" (2009) and "Harvest Moon" (2013) form an unique mix of emotions and power crafting the intriguing style of the band. With 3 albums and hundreds of shows played - including concerts alongside such stars as Opeth, Anathema, Pain of Salvation, Katatonia or Korn - the band is one of the most influential artists of the New Wave of Polish Prog. In 2015 after some line-up changes (a new vocalist Bartek Sobieraj and a new guitarist Piotr Lniany) and a very successful European tour alongside Riverside, Votum comes together to record a unique album. The music of Votum is a wonderful mixture of the sounds known from Anathema, Porcupine Tree, Pain of Salvation, Katatonia and Opeth - dark, meloduc and truly progressive.
