Kingfisher Sky plays Kate Bush

A Tribute to the music of Kate Bush

Kingfisher Sky plays Kate Bush

Kingfisher Sky has never made a secret of its admiration for Kate Bush! Since the band was founded, Kate Bush's oeuvre has been a great source of inspiration for these musicians from The Hague.

After occasional covers of Cloudbusting and Running up that Hill ended up on the setlist, the band really wanted to dedicate an entire show to the enigmatic singer/songwriter! Of course, classics such as Wuthering Heights and Running up that Hill are included, but other gems from her rich repertoire are also included!

Who is Kingfisher Sky?
It is 2001 when drummer Ivar de Graaf makes a bold move and leaves Within Temptation in the middle of the band's international breakthrough. The musician wants to focus entirely on the development of his own musical work and this cannot be combined with the emerging success of Within Temptation. Together with classically trained singer Judith Rijnveld, he takes all the time he needs to write songs that cannot be tied to a specific genre. The end result? Catchy prog metal that is full of folk influences and even contains a touch of soul. It becomes the basis of Kingfisher Sky. After its quiet start, Kingfisher Sky quickly gained momentum. The release of debut album Hallway Of Dreams was not only successful in Europe, the band's popularity also grew in South America and Japan.
