
Jazz guitarist and songwriter Mike Stern is one of the greats of his generation. He played with Miles Davis, Billy Cobham, the Brecker Brothers, Jaco Pastorius, Steps Ahead, David Sanborn, Blood, Sweat & Tears and Joe Henderson.
His solo career is also successful; he released more than a dozen albums. This highly acclaimed jazz artist has received several awards for his brilliant playing. This evening he will play together with four other virtuosos:
Guitarist Leni Stern, wife of, was previously voted by Guitar Player as one of the 50 most sensational female guitarists ever. She also plays the n'goni, an African string instrument and is responsible for vocals.
Saxophonist Bob Franceschini has already worked with many artists. George Benson, Chaka Khan, Richard Bona, Jeniffer Lopez, Marcus Miller, Yellowjackets and Paul Simon, among others, are on this list.
Chris Minh Doky, acoustic and electric bass, is a versatile musician. His unique style and approach ensures that he tells stories through his melodies. He uses his bass guitar as a solo instrument, almost like a voice. He has worked with big names such as Scofield, Mendoza, Sakamoto, Sanborn, Gurtu and Camilo.
Drummer Dennis Chambers can play many styles, but is best known for his jazz-fusion, funk and Latin style. He is known for his impressive technique and speed. He worked with John Scofield, Steely Dan, Santana, Parliament/Funkadelic, John McLaughlin and many others.
