In 2025, Shakatak will celebrate their 45th anniversary with an anniversary tour. ‘With a Very Best Of’ program, they will bring the highlights of their musical career to the stage: a must-see for fans of soft pop, jazz and funk.
The band, founded in 1980, scored international hits in the 80s such as Easier Said Than Done, Night Birds, Invitations and Dark Is The Night. Thanks to their characteristic, melodic ‘lounge sound’ they became a permanent fixture in the international music scene.
Shakatak will perform in their original line-up, with: Bill Sharpe on piano/keyboards, Jill Saward on flute and vocals, George Anderson on bass, Roger Odell on drums and Keith Winter on guitars.
