Supersister has been an icon in the Dutch music scene for decades. Over the years the line-up has changed a number of times, but the band now consists of a super line-up with Robert Jan Stips, Rinus Gerritsen and Leon Klaasse and has been so for quite some time.
The 1970 hit She Was Naked is still rock solid, but the band is known for continuing to develop and experiment. Think of progressive pop, jazz influences, swinging riffs and the odd quirky Zappa twist. In a documentary on Dutch television about Robert Jan in 2019, all his musical friends were present, resulting in an album under the name Supersister Projekt. Since then, Supersister can be heard and seen playing live again and, of course, also at Poppodium Boerderij.
