Every now and then paths cross at exactly the right time and in the right place. This happened with Trev Lukather, Nic Collins and Emmett Stang. Together they form The Effect, according to Trev his dream band because of the musical and personal connection.
The band members of The Effect are by no means small fry. Guitarist and producer Trev Lukather (indeed; the son of Toto’s Steve Lukather) shone as a solo artist, producer and writer for Halestorm and Dorothy, among others. Drummer Nic Collins (yes, also the son of!) played drums on tout with father Phil Collins, Genesis and Mike + The Mechanics. Singer Emmett Stang is a relative newcomer but exploded online with viral success.
“We are a rock band that makes pop music,” Nic describes their music. “The riffs are great, but the songs have to be catchy. Each member brings a different element to what we do.” The Effect introduced this vision with the single Unwanted.
