Walter Trout needs no introduction! Quite a party to welcome this living legend back to the Boerderij.

This man, plenty of battle scares, continues unabated. Broken, but not succumbed. At the release of his album Broken (March 2024) he said: “I've always tried to write positive songs, and this album isn't quite that. But I always hold on to hope. I think that's why I wrote this album.” For some, Trout's virtuoso guitar playing in the band of John Mayall's legendary Bluesbreakers in the mid-80s remains the highlight of his career. But for most fans, the blood, heart and soul of his solo career since 1989 are the true essence, with songs that always seek greater truths and never back down. Trout’s optimism and idealism remain as strong as ever. “That Sixties idealism still burns in me and I want to make music that means something or helps somebody. I may be naïve but I’m ok with that. In the face of what’s happening in the world, I will stubbornly hold on to my idealism and hope. I want to make music that matters…”
