Since 1976, Wild Romance had been the backing band of Herman Brood, but after Herman’s passing in 2011 things went quiet. A decade later, the band was revived, with several of Brood’s old companions joining in. A rockumentary about an upcoming tour with Nina Hagen sparked renewed success, and Buying The Band grew into the ultimate cult hit among rockumentaries. What followed were numerous club, theater, and festival shows.
In 2025, guitar legend Dany Lademacher passed away, and David Hollestelle decided to continue on his own. For the rest of the band, this marked the moment to move forward under the already familiar name Romanza Brava.
In August 2025, Too Much Is Never Enough was released: the third and final album still under the name Wild Romance, and a beautiful tribute to Dany Lademacher. It is his last record — he co-wrote the songs and, with his unique style, gave the album its distinctive flair. The release is set for August 29, 2025 … followed by a brand-new tour!
