After the sold-out light and sound technology workshop, we are happy to announce that we can welcome Tjeerd van Zanen back to our podium café for the next edition to work on your songs with you! Do you write music yourself? All styles are welcome!

Does the perfect song exist? Is there a recipe for the ultimate hit? In an interactive workshop, Tjeerd gives you all the tools and tricks you need to write the perfect song.

Tjeerd is a guitarist, songwriter, engineer and producer. He has worked in one of these capacities with Maan, Kane, Silkstone, André Hazes, Ruth Jacott, René Froger, Volumia, de Toppers, Jill Helena and many others.

As a guitarist he has also worked with the above-mentioned artists.

Together with Alan Michael he wrote “One Good Reason” for Marlayne and “One More Night” for Esther Hart for the Eurovision Song Contest of 1999 and 2003. And in 2008 with and for Hind the song “My Heart Belongs To You”, with which they went to the Eurovision in Belgrade.

He co-wrote eight songs for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest and composed film music for, among others, the films Johan and Worst. Tjeerd has two bands of his own, Back to Basic and The Auratones.

Tjeerd also teaches songwriting and music production at Codarts (Rotterdam Conservatory) and ArtEZ (Enschede Conservatory).

Tjeerd is signed as a songwriter with BMG Music.
