Blues on Sunday - Fat Harry & The Fuzzy Licks

Fat Harry & The Fuzzy Licks play contemporary blues, firmly rooted in tradition but enriched with soul, funk, and R&B.

It's no wonder that American legends repeatedly asked them to back them on European tours. Harry even regularly played with his inspiration, Joe Louis Walker, who later recorded their song Send You Back.

The band collaborated with artists like Preston Shannon, Henry Oden, Kat Riggins, John Primer, and Robbin Kapsalis. In 2014, saxophonist Jan de Ligt won a Dutch Blues Award, and he was a driving force within the band for almost 30 years until his sudden death in 2024.

Today, Fat Harry & The Fuzzy Licks continues their legacy with new material full of diversity and originals, supplemented by keyboardist David Franco.

Line-up: Fat Harry Dorth – guitar/vocals; Jacco van den Heuvel – drums; David Franco – keyboards; Remko Deijl – bass; sax – t.b.a.
