Pure Reason Revolution gives progressive alt-rock its own identity through a combination of powerful rock, electronic influences and melodic vocals.
The British band, formed around Jon Courtney, was founded in 2003 and achieved international recognition with their album The Dark Third (2006). After a hiatus of almost ten years, Pure Reason Revolution returned in 2019. Their new album Terrifying Angels has now been released, showcasing a darker and heavier side of the band. The album features contributions from artists including Mariusz Duda (Lunatic Soul, Riverside) and Kristoffer Gildenlöw, and was mixed by Bruce Soord (The Pineapple Thief). Pure Reason Revolution truly comes into its own live, combining atmosphere, dynamics and powerful rock.
