Last year, we sadly said goodbye to Edward, who passed away on October 7. It was his wish that his beloved project would continue. After a deeply emotional year, we have therefore decided to bring ProgProms back to the stage in 2026 – and, of course, to Boerderij. This fifth edition is a tribute to Edward and to progressive rock.
The regular band consists entirely of top musicians who have made their mark with Ayreon, Magoria, Arena, Frank Boeijen, Liesbeth List, Kayak and The Liberty Project: Mark Bogert (guitar), Charles Nagtzaam (bass), Harmen Kieboom (drums), Maarten Helsloot (keyboards) and Hubert Heeringa (winds/violin). Vocals are provided by Edwin Balogh (Omega, Ayreon), Cindy Oudshoorn and Nadine Pruim.
That Joe Payne will also be joining the line-up again this year. This classically trained singer was voted Best Male Vocalist in the Prog Magazine Readers' Poll for two consecutive years. Before starting his solo career, he was the lead singer of the English band The Enid. His talent has not gone unnoticed: in 2024, he appeared as the vocalist on the latest album by Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater).
Together, they will perform some of the finest songs by artists including Genesis, Yes, The Alan Parsons Project and Dream Theater, while staying true to the spirit of the originals. An evening for fans of symphonic and progressive rock.
